CHESTNUT BEAMS
Chestnut beams constitute the primary warping of roofs or floors and range from 15 × 15 cm sections up to 42 × 42 cm sections; lengths can go up to 12 meters. The beams can be worked in two different ways: Uso Fiume (UF) and Sharp Edge (Four threads).

TRUSSES
Trusses are architectural elements formed by a flat reticular truss placed vertically and is used as the basic element of a pitched roof. Thanks to its triangular structure, the truss cancels the horizontal thrusts in order to obtain stability and safety, being part of the non-pushing structures of the architecture.

CHESTNUT RAILS
Chestnut rails are used in the secondary warping of the roof and are indispensable in supporting the planking or terracotta tiles. Rails are produced with sections ranging from 8 × 8 to 12 × 12 cm and with lengths from 100 to 500 cm. Chestnut wood offers a great variety of qualities, unanimously considered the most versatile on the Italian territory.

CHESTNUT BOARDS
Artena Legnami srl has large quantities of seasoned timber available, suitable for the construction of attics, floors and coverings. The thickness of chestnut boards varies from 2 cm to 10 cm, while lengths that can go up to 300 cm. The joints between the boards can be customized. From a practical point of view, chestnut has an excellent resistance to external agents.

CHESTNUT POLES
The choice of chestnut for the construction of fences is particularly suitable for the affordability of the timber in the diameters 4/5, 5/7, 8/10, 10/12, easy to realize and long-lasting. In the case of agricultural applications, chestnut poles are more advisable than cement or metal ones.
